SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AWARD - KLA ROBOAWARDS
Although we were unable to compete at regional competitions because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our team still had the chance to participate in the KLA Robo Awards. Our team is beyond ecstatic to receive the Software Engineering Award which is presented to teams that developed a unique software solution to a problem faced in the 2020 INFINITE RECHARGE season. Robot functionality, including motion control, vision or autonomous mode, and software that was developed for other aspects of FIRST robotics activities are taken into consideration by the judges. In addition to the Software Engineering award, Sophie S, our Captain of Competition, also won the Leadership Award. This award celebrates outstanding student leaders whose passion, effectiveness, high personal standards and focus on the team are exemplary. KLA also granted Team 5940 one thousand dollars for the Leadership award so that we may continue improving our program and we can not thank them enough for this generous support!
